What is OSCWI? 

We at OSCWI want to connect and support all of the NASWI individual command OSCs to help rebuild and strengthen the spouse support and networking system for our NASWI officer spouse community. 

OSCWI exists to connect officer spouses. 
Some commands don't have any spouse groups at all; OSCWI is here to provide that support and be an avenue to make it easy to meet new friends.

OSCWI is open to those who belong to a command OSC as well as those who don't!  
Participation with OSCWI events is a great way to branch out and meet other spouses outside of your immediate spouse community - you never know who you're going to meet!


Why should your command OSC have an OSCWI Representative?

Membership to OSCWI is open to any and all officer spouse, so just because someone is a member of an individual command OSC, doesn't mean they can't join OSCWI, too! 

OSCWI can help your command OSC share fundraisers and events to reach a broader audience. 

OSCWI hosts events throughout the year that can also act as fundraisers for your command OSC. 


What kind of Events does OSCWI Host that could include command OSCs?

OSCWI hosts events that will include participation from command OSCs including (but not limited to):

  • All Hands Halloween Party

  • Holiday Bazaar

  • Time and Talent

The Holiday Bazaar and Time and Talent are fundraisers for both OSCWI and command OSCs!


My spouse's command doesn't have an official officer spouses club/group. Can I join?

If you don't have an official OSC for your command, we welcome you to join OSCWI! 

We can also send info to the command leadership spouses to share with other spouses of that command - but we need updated contact info.


Command contact information is always changing - How do I update our command or OSC contact information to make sure OSCWI is sending details to the correct contact?

Please note that OSCWI does NOT have contact information unless it is provided to us.

We do our best to keep an updated list, so please be sure share any updated contact information for your command to

OSCWI shares information with our Membership as well as command contacts that we do have: CO/XO/PXO spouses as well as command OSC Board email addresses.

One of the best ways to do this is to make sure that your OSC has assigned an OSCWI command representative.


How does our command OSC assign an OSCWI command representative?

Once your command or OSC has decided who will be the representative, they will sign up to join OSCWI here and there will be an option to designate the command and if they are an official representative for that command. 
Many OSCs designate this responsibility to the OSC VP or command Leadership spouse (CO/XO/PXO), and will cover the cost of OSCWI Membership.


The Officers’ Spouses’ Club of Whidbey Island (OSCWI) is a non-federal, private entity operated and controlled by individuals in their private capacities.  OSCWI is not a part of, managed by, operated or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, or Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.
